About the program/cycle of studies

The Integrated Master's Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences is structured according to the Bologna process in accordance with Order no. 18 755-F/2007 of 12 June 2007, by the Directorate General for Higher Education (DGES), published in the 2nd series of the Diário da República no. 160 of 21 August, registered with the no. R/B - AD - 982/2007.

To obtain a Master's Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, students must successfully conclude all subjects included in the study plan for this course, corresponding to 300 ECTS, out of a total of 8,400 hours, 4,132 are face-to-face, including the internship.

The cycle of studies is in conformity with the European Parliament and the European Council Directive 2005/36/CE, of 7 September 2005.

 

Academic Degree

Course accredited by A3ES on 02-03-2011 (CEF); University Education - 2nd cycle of integrated studies leading to Master's degree.

 

Type of recognition

The professional title of Pharmacist requires valid membership in the Pharmacists Association, in accordance with Decree-Law no. 288/2001, of 10 November.

 

Entry requirements

International applicants for admission and enrolment in the Bachelor's degree and Integrated Masters, must:

  • hold a qualification granting them access to higher education, such as a diploma or certificate issued by a competent authority, which attests to the successful completion of an educational program, and authorises them to apply for and enrol in higher education in the country where it was conferred; or
  • hold a secondary education degree legally equivalent to the Portuguese secondary education.

Under the regulations for international students, candidates must take an exam at CESPU.  (Decree-Law no. 36/2014)

French (minimum 20 students for the first year and in exceptional cases may extend to the second year)
