Higher education at CESPU is essentially characterised by its high quality, comprehensiveness and demanding requirements. In effect, CESPU has implemented an innovative educational project, with teaching methodologies based on PBL (Problem Based Learning) and ABL (Article Based Learning), so that their students can capitalise on the best possible education.

Moreover, CESPU, CRL is particularly concerned with the practical training of their students in the context of real work environments, enabling them from the onset to have direct contact with the hospital environment and the reality which they will eventually face in their professional careers. This concern is actually reflected in the growing number of health care units (their own and those held in partnership) which the institution currently has. On the other hand, with regard to employment, the health units incorporated within the CESPU Group naturally give preference to graduates of the educational establishments under the aegis of CESPU, CRL, which is (obviously) expressed in an improvement of their employability.

Furthermore, those affiliated with the educational establishments under the aegis of CESPU, CRL enjoy a pleasant and welcoming academic environment which is not only conducive to their professional development, but to their personal and social development as well. Essentially, CESPU, CRL is concerned not only with the education of their students, but with their growth and direction as well as both people and health care professionals geared toward excellence.

The educational establishments under the aegis of CESPU, CRL are currently distributed between two academic campuses in the cities of Gandra (I.S.C.S.- N and ESSVS) and Vila Nova de Famalicão, with excellent facilities for higher education in the health field.
